Titamàlà creations are handcrafted in Saint-Tropez by the designer herself.
More than just a brand, it is a DNA – that of Tita Mercurio
Sicily as her ancestral home. Algiers, where she was born. Growing up under the magical lights of Saint-Tropez. This is the cultural blend of TiTa Mercurio, a collector of pearls, who has made the famous peninsula not only her favourite place, but also, and above all, her haven of peace and inspiration.
From her childhood tinged with solitude, TiTa has retained a love of creation to overcome the pitfalls of uncertainty. From the Mediterranean blood that flows through her veins, she has inherited the talent to express herself through her hands.
The hobby turned into a passion… The passion revealed the gift.
Her fifteen years spent in the United States shaped the artist’s tastes and revealed her attraction to aesthetics and intercultural beauty.
Drawn to foreign lands and passionate about travel, TiTa drew inspiration from other customs and faces. During a stopover in Kathmandu, TiTa was ‘magnetised’ by the Màlà (Sanskrit for ‘bead necklaces’), those wooden rosaries worn by Buddhists for millennia.
Upon returning from her journey of self-discovery, guided by her spirituality and creative energy, she—who now wears the jewellery as a religious symbol—launched her first collection, ‘Spiritual Fashion’, which marked the beginning of her aesthetic world and artistic expression, forming the concept behind her brand with the celestial name: Titamàlà!
